The famous fast food shop Burger King launched the new hamburgers in Japan in September this year. It is more unusual then the previous burger — with black cheese, buns and special squid ink sauce.
The appearance of the black burger lead my group to associate with the well-meaning movie, Men in Black (MIB) in America. The background of the file is that, the men who wear in black are the spy in the Earth, in order to protect the people locally. The tag line ‘THE MEN IN BLACK save the world; THE BURGER IN BLACK save your stomach’ shows that the similarity between the MIB and the Burger in Black (BIB). After eating the new burger would give the positive impacts of the consumers.
This advertisement is Person-oriented because there are two main characters in the poster – Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith. Their image look cool and mystery. It promote that if they eat the burger, the buyers would become part of them.
Additionally, by using the similar wording of the MIB, the BIB is easier for the readers to get the simple in the poster and it is simple to get the meaning. The last sentence of the tag line is the ‘This rare BIB serves the special’ which means that tasting the unique burger would be a golden opportunity and a great experience to try it.
